Text messaging (SMS) program
The DeReus Law Text Contact program is the text messaging program of DeReus Law, LLC. DeReus Law, LLC sends text messages from 504.320.2425 to people who have contacted DeReus Law, LLC or who are current clients. We text only to communicate with you about your inquiry or legal matter. That can include replies to your questions, scheduling, reminders, requests for documents or information, and updates on your matter. We do not send marketing or promotional text messages.
How you opt in
You agree to receive text messages from DeReus Law, LLC when you:
- send a text message to DeReus Law, LLC at 504.320.2425; or
- give DeReus Law, LLC your mobile number and agree to receive texts from us, whether in writing (such as on an intake form, in an engagement agreement, or by email) or verbally during a call with DeReus Law, LLC.
Message frequency and cost
Message frequency varies depending on your inquiry or matter. Message and data rates may apply. Check your mobile plan or contact your wireless carrier for details.
How to opt out
You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. You will receive one final message confirming that you have been unsubscribed, and DeReus Law, LLC will not send further text messages. To opt back in, reply START or contact DeReus Law, LLC.

Confidentiality
Text messaging is not a secure way to communicate. Please do not send confidential or sensitive details by text, especially before DeReus Law, LLC has agreed in writing to represent you. Texting DeReus Law, LLC does not by itself create an attorney–client relationship. See our Disclaimer.
Privacy
